Swedish Massage

The most commonly pictured application of massage, Swedish Massage is very relaxing and has been shown to reduce levels of the stress hormone cortisol. Techniques include gliding strokes, kneading, and friction most commonly, as well as occasional percussive movements and vibration

Deep Tissue Massage

Similar in many ways to Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage focuses on the deeper layers of tissue, as the name implies. While to pressure the therapist uses is firmer, deep tissue massages can be very relaxing as well.

Sports Massage

A Sports Massage focuses more attention on areas that require specific attention, based on the client’s goals and the therapist’s recommendation. Sports Massage may be beneficial to the client seeking greater flexibility or to reduce recovery time. As with most massage, it can also be relaxing, helping the client to de-stress and focus on an upcoming event.

Prenatal Massage

With the approval of the client’s provider, Prenatal Massage is used to relax those aches and pains associated with pregnancy, as well as promoting relaxation in general for the mom to be. During the Prenatal Massage, the therapist will make the client comfortable in a side-lying position and utilize massage techniques, appropriate to the client.

Lymphatic Drainage

Lymphatic drainage massage is a form of gentle massage that encourages the movement of lymph fluids around the body, reduce swelling and improve circulation.  The fluid in the lymphatic system helps remove waste and toxins from the body.  Some health conditions or surgery can cause lymph fluid to build up (often seen as swelling).  This type of massage can be beneficial for people with lymphedema, fibromyalgia, post-surgically, and other conditions.

Each upgrade is $25 ($15 if you are a massage club member). NO ADDITIONAL TIME ADDED, the time is incorporated into your massage.

Cups are applied to the skin to increase blood flow, decrease pain and inflammation, and promote relaxation.

Hot Stones
Applying hot stones to specific trigger points helps to increase circulation to the affected muscles while reducing chronic pain and stress.

  • Warms up the muscles, tendons, and ligaments which allows the therapist to access deeper muscle layers for a more thorough massage.
  • Safe and effective in treating conditions including pain associated with fibromyalgia, arthritis, carpal tunnel and other types of chronic stress, while increasing joint flexibility.
