Relieve Chest and Shoulder Tightness with the Lounge Chair Stretch VIDEO

The Lounge chair is a great stretch to relieve tightness in the front of the chest and shoulders by stretching the pecs, delts and other anterior shoulder muscles.  

Sit down, knees bent and place your hands right behind your hips with your fingers pointed away. Lift your chest to the ceiling and pull shoulder blades together and back.   Stay there if you feel a good stretch or scoot your hips forward to increase the stretch.  To increase the stretch even more lift the hips and push forward.  Keep pushing the chest up and pulling the shoulders blades together and back.

Another variation is to bend the arms.  Still keeping the chest up and the shoulder blades together and back.  Stop at any time you feel pain, numbness, tingling or any other uncomfortable sensations.  Watch the video and give it a try.
