Sitting on your foot or wallet will torque your pelvis and cause your body to tilt to the side.  This tilt causes a scoliosis compensation in your spine as you try to stay upright.  This can cause pain, muscle spasm, and inflammation.


The sciatic nerve starts in your low back and runs through the glutes and down the leg.  When sitting on your foot or wallet it can compress and irritate the sciatic nerve and cause sciatica pain.  The pinched nerve can also cause numbness and tingling down the leg.
